Description
Course Summary
Smoke inhalation is a rare occurrence in veterinary practice, however it requires intensive nursing care and observation, for these patients to have the best possible outcome. In this 45 minute eCPD tutorial we will be discussing the pathophysiology of smoke inhalation – there’s more than just carbon monoxide. We will also be covering the clinical signs and diagnosis, including blood gases and imaging. Lastly, we will be considering treatment options and the outcomes of these patients, using recent relevant papers as well as a case Lizzie intensively nursed in practice.
