This flexi CPD series on cardiology will cover all things cardio from the starting point of triage and clinical exam, through disease processes, diagnostics, treatments and nursing considerations. By the end of the final module you will have the tools to assess and support patients with diagnosed or suspected heart disease, record and assess ECG’s and interpret arrhythmias, understand the processes behind the various heart conditions patients display and the pathophysiology of heart failure.

Liza qualified as a VN in 2001 and moved from small animal practice to the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital where she worked as a surgical and theatre nurse for nearly 4 years. She then made a move to the University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital as Anaesthesia Nurse and proceeded to move through several disciplines within the SATH over 15 years, including Cardiology Service Nurse, Patient Care & ICU and Surgical Nurse before settling back into the theatre team. Liza enjoys learning new skills, gaining new experience and has a keen interest in anaesthesia and cardiology. In 2022 Liza took up the position of Head Nurse at Willows Veterinary Group.
