Rabbits: Common Illnesses

As a prey species, rabbits conceal signs of pain and illness for as long as possible. There are many conditions in rabbits that can be prevented or lessened in their severity by correct care. Some conditions are not possible to cure and may require life-long treatment, but generally the earlier a condition is treated the easier they are to treat and have less of an impact on the welfare of the rabbit.

This lecture will look at some of the more commonly presented health problems in rabbits; their causes, signs, treatments and how to prevent them if possible.
