Hypertension

Hypertension is challenging to diagnose and treat, trying to identify those patients who are at risk, and weeding out the 'white coat' effect from those with true hypertension. In this one hour eCPD tutorial we will discuss the pathophysiology of hypertension, going back to basics of the RAAS system and considering those patients who need screening and monitoring. We will be using the recent ACVIM consensus statement alongside other recent research and my own experiences to discuss how to diagnose, when to treat, what to treat with and how to monitor and prevent target organ damage.
