Zoe qualified in 2012, spent a year in general practice before joining the nursing team at the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital in 2013. As a student nurse on placement at the Small Animal Hospital she developed a keen interest in the nursing involved in caring for neurology patients. She loved the hands-on nursing and found it very rewarding. Having returned to the Small Animal hospital as a qualified veterinary nurse, Zoe realised neurology was the area she enjoyed the most and wanted to specialise in.
Zoe started the DipAVN in 2016 and is also working towards her VTS (neurology) certificate (sitting exams 2018). She also enjoys spending time teaching the student nurses and encouraging them to develop an interest in neurology.
