Tom graduated from the RVC and, after spending some time in general practice and an internship at the RVC, he completed his specialist training in Neurology & Neurosurgery in 2016.
Tom has a PhD in pharmacology from Cambridge and prior to completing his veterinary training worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years, initially for GlaxoSmithKline as a member of their Business Analysis Team focusing on biotechnology, and subsequently as a Business Strategy Manager for the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) working on product submission strategies with leading pharmaceutical companies.
Tom is interested in all areas of neurology and neurosurgery and is particularly keen to focus on translational medicine and its application to veterinary neurological conditions
