Osteoarthritis is the most common condition seen in small animal practice, and you will be asked a variety of in depth questions by clients at every opportunity, from puppy parties to obesity clinics. This 40 minute eCPD tutorial discusses the aetiology of osteoarthritis and diagnosis. Emphasis is placed on management, including analgesia, lifestyle alterations and complementary therapies which will be of real use to you in your clinical work.

Kelly graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2005 and after 18 months in small animal general practice, completed a rotating internship at the Royal Veterinary College and a three-year ECVS approved residency programme in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Bristol. Kelly joined the Animal Health Trust in 2011. She sits on committee for the Association of Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgeons (AVSTS) and her particular interests include minimally invasive surgery, trauma management and reconstructive/oncological surgery. In 2019 Kelly returned to the University of Edinburgh as the Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Surgery.

The Australian Veterinary Nurse and Technician (AVNAT) Regulatory Council has allocated 0.75 AVNAT CPD points to this continuing education activity.

This course is also recognised by the New Zealand Veterinary Nursing Association (NZVNA) as providing 0.75 CPD points.

Please note the following:
