Speaker
Adele Wharton BVSc MRCVS
The Small Pet Vet – Where Small Things Matter
Adele qualified as a veterinary surgeon since 2007. Since childhood she has always had small mammals as pets, and she is passionate about their health and welfare. Since qualifying she has been privileged to have worked with a whole range of species from farm animals and horses, to dogs and cats and marine mammals, but has always believed that our smaller pets deserve the best care we can offer them both in their home life and in terms of their veterinary care.
Adele is currently owned by a large mischief of fancy rats, and two chinchillas, and has been Club Secretary of the Midlands Rat Club since 2017. In her rare time spent not working or with my own animals, she is a keen aerialist, so can often be found hanging upside down somewhere in the name of fun!
