Description

Course Summary

Ovariohysterectomy of the cat and dog is a regularly performed surgical procedure in practice, but is a major abdominal procedure and should not be viewed with complacency.  This 45 minute eCPD tutorial, will look at the advantages and disadvantages of neutering, examine preoperative requirements, detail the surgical procedure and will briefly touch on appropriate aftercare.  It also contains a valuable section on the essential role of the scrub assistant during a haemorrhagic incident and how their educated and experienced help can be stress-reducing for the surgeon and life-saving for the animal.
