Liza qualified as a VN in 2001 and moved from small animal practice to the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital where she worked as a surgical and theatre nurse for nearly 4 years. She then made a move to the University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital as Anaesthesia Nurse and proceeded to move through several disciplines within the SATH over the last 15 years, including Cardiology Service Nurse, Patient Care & ICU and Surgical Nurse before settling back into the theatre team. Liza is a busy mum of two so she struggled to find a decent picture for this bio-op. Liza enjoys learning new skills, gaining new experience and has a keen interest in anaesthesia and cardiology. She is currently studying for her Nursing Certificate in Anaesthesia & Analgesia and works part time as a locum for an Out-of-hours Emergency & Critical Care clinic as well as her days in the SATH.
