Poisons – Some Common Ones

Many of the cases of poisoning that we see in dogs and cats are the result of a small number of common poisons. In this 45 minute eCPD tutorial for vet nurses, we discuss a number of these common poisons including more familiar ones such as chocolate and anticoagulant rodenticides, as well as some more recently identified poisons such as xylitol (dogs), grapes/raisins (dogs) and lilies (cats).
