Poisoning is relatively common in small animals, both witnessed and suspected. In many cases the poison implicated is not known and many poisons do not have specific antidotes. In this 45 minute eCPD tutorial, we will consider the various aspects of a general approach to the poisoned patient, including initial recommendations, gastrointestinal decontamination and management of neurotoxins.
