Pain Physiology and Assessment

Veterinary nurses play a large role in recognising and assessing pain. In order for nurses to have an effective role in pain management and analgesia it is vital to have an understanding of the pathophysiology of pain, the signs of pain and how to perform a thorough pain assessment. This 40 minute eCPD course will discuss the importance of understanding pain physiology and the pain pathway, pain recognition, and assessment – encouraging you to implement pain scoring systems effectively in your practice.
