Monitoring Anaesthesia - What do the Numbers Mean?

This 60 minute eCPD tutorial discusses the importance of monitoring anaesthesia and considers this from a “body systems” approach. While the use of multi-parameter monitors are becoming more popular, such pieces of equipment are essentially useless if the operator does not understand the basic physiological principles underlying their function. The tutorial starts by highlighting the necessity of the more basic, “hands-on” monitoring and how this then links into the use of multi-parameter monitors. The aim is to develop user confidence in interpretation of the information such monitors can provide.
