CPR - An Update

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a technique utilised to reverse cardiopulmonary arrest. This 60 minute tutorial provides a review of how to perform effective CPR. Recent veterinary and human literature is examined to provide some suggested guidelines for CPR in small animal patients. Nurses play an important role in CPR as they are often the first on the scene, and their actions should be rapid but controlled and well educated, therefore it is crucial that all nurses keep up to date with current advice regarding CPR in order to optimise chances of a successful outcome
