Corneal Ulcers
eCPD Case Study with Sian Woodham-Davies
Corneal ulcers can get complicated to treat and deteriorate quite rapidly! There are many factors to consider when treating a patient with a corneal ulcer. In this case study following Milo, we can see that a positive culture of pseudomonas in his eye and a nasal fold full of an overwhelming amount of bacteria causes him a multitude of problems. This case study discusses the use of a conjunctival pedicle and Acell graft as well as a new treatment in veterinary ophthalmology called corneal cross-linking.
The course involves a written case study, a quiz and further reading articles.
