Dental disease is the most common disease seen in small animal practice. In order to explain dental disease to clients, we must have a sound understanding of the basics. This includes knowledge of oral and dental anatomy. Only by understanding what is normal can we detect abnormal. This 45 minute eCPD tutorial for veterinary nurses will also discuss how we perform probing, what is being assessed, and how we then record this information on a dental chart. Dental charts should be detailed descriptions of the patient’s oral health status on a particular day. By the end of this webcast you should feel confident in recording details onto a dental chart, and subsequently interpreting fully completed charts.
