Approach to Bleeding Disorders

Bleeding disorders are relatively commonly encountered in dogs and cats but require a logical approach to their diagnosis and management. This 60 minute eCPD tutorial will start by explaining the difference between primary and secondary haemostasis, and then explain the clinical signs that occur with disorders of each of these. We will then discuss the diagnostic tests used to investigate the bleeding animal and how they are interpreted. The different causes of bleeding will be covered along with some of the treatment recommendations.
